Exciting. I for one would love to have services where I can get the most diagnostics possible. Today, my doctor and insurance are blockers, avoiding even measurement of things (like blood panels) as a preventative thing unless indicted by some outdated standards of care. I want more data on myself not unhelpful barriers.
The big question I have is what will they do with that data? How is privacy guaranteed? Can I collect the data without it being shared with other companies, including insurance companies?
This company is a HIPAA covered entity so your data will be as private as with any other provider organization. Data will only be shared with your insurance company if you want them to pay for service; much of this isn't covered by insurance anyway so you'll have to pay out of pocket. Of course, any company can potentially be breached due to a security vulnerability.
